to encourage the growth and development of the arts
and humanities in SW Minnesota by serving as a source of funds
and technical services which enable
local organizations, educational institutions and individuals to sponsor
and/or create and promote
the arts and humanities in their communities.

SMAHC is offering this hearing, designed
to gather testimony about the Arts Council's programs,
policies and budget, to ensure response to constituent needs
in the SMAHC's 2014 -2015 Biennial Plan. Commentary and
recommendations will be considered prior to final submission
of the Biennial Plan.
SMAHC invites the public to address what
is important to their community, suggestions for programs
and services, and what special areas the Arts Council should
address. Individuals or groups can present testimony at the
Marshall meeting. Written testimony may be submitted to:
Southwest Minnesota Arts and Humanities Council, PO Box 55,
Marshall, MN 56258.
Scholarships are available to
individuals from the SMAHC region to participate in the 2013
Rural Arts and Culture Summit (details about the SUMMIT
available at
www.racsummit.org)
Complete and return the
scholarship form below as soon as possible, but no later
than May 31, 2013. Limited funds are available for
this scholarship opportunity.
